SUMMER GOALS OR SPRING HABITS?
We are all about goals, getting to that new PB, running your first marathon or loosing that winter weight!
BUT
Before we can hit new goals, we have to create new habits!
Spring is around the corner, so why not use the next few weeks or 21 days to create habits that will carry you into your goals for the summer.
HERE ARE 6 TIPS ON HOW TO CREATE NEW HABITS:
GET CONSISTENT - it takes 21 days to create a habit, so take the next 21 days to get consistent
EVEN IF YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE IT - this month isn't about new records it's about pitching up
START SMALL AND INCREASE - if your summer goal is to run a marathon, start the habit today of running 3km everyday, rest, repeat.
DON'T BURN OUT THE FIRST WEEK - listen to your body, this habit will become the new normal once your body had time to catchup
THE FIRST MONTH IS THE TOUGHEST - Muscle adaptation takes about 4- 6 weeks, so go into this month knowing your muscles are taking time to get used to this new habit of training
